Title: The Light
Story: A woman connects to the universe through the fire she carries in her heart. She seeks the wisdom of the stars. Cassiopeia shines brightly from her dark sky blanket acknowledging her steering flame of hope.
Beneath Cassiopeia, Perseus balances the feminine energy with his strength.
The woman is seated at the precarious edge of a rock shelf - a suggestion of how challenging it can be to light a path to positive change.
The absence of an obvious path to her place on the cliff edge might make one wonder how she came to be there; it is a question many women have asked themselves.
As she lifts her flame seeking a way forward, the world below her continues as it always has, regardless of where we find ourselves in it.
Artist's note: The constellations painted in this artwork are accurately placed in the north eastern sky as they appear in the month of October in Ottawa.
This is a limited run of 50 signed archival prints on fine art paper.
